The 07.26 Elgin-Inverness and 09.00 Inverness-Kyle of Lochalsh trains will return on Monday 5 March.
Our extra 06.12 Inverness-Kyle of Lochalsh service – which has been running since 23 January – will continue for the time being to take Plockton High pupils to school while the Stromeferry bypass remains closed.
To accommodate the changes, the 09.03 Inverness-Aberdeen and
13.39 Aberdeen-Inverness services will run with two carriages.
Jerry Farquharson, director of business planning, said: “We have a finite number of trains at our disposal.
“However, we were determined re-introduce both morning services while still helping the children to get to school on time – without cancelling other trains.”
We thank our passengers who travel between Inverness and Aberdeen for their understanding.
Passengers travelling to Kyle of Lochalsh can still purchase tickets for the additional early morning service.
These changes will be in place until further notice.
