We've Invested In Winter!
None of us are likely to forget the last winter’s Big Freeze in a hurry. The record low temperatures saw road and rail disruption throughout the country. That’s why since last year we’ve invested over £2 million in new equipment and engineering improvements to keep more trains running and station access clear.
Following customer feedback, we’re also improving our severe weather travel information including updates to your phone and newsfeeds through Twitter.
Severe weather conditions will always affect travel, but we’re confident that the steps we’ve taken will help us run as normal a service as possible - no matter what the weather throws at us. Which, knowing our winters is likely to be snow, snow and more snow!
