Visit our non-smoking Lounge Car where friendly staff will serve you a light snack or drink at the bar. We even offer some of the best malt whiskies available on any train in the UK. Just take a look at our menu.
When it’s busy, we have to restrict use of the Lounge Car to First Class customers – however both First and Standard Class customers can buy food and drink and take it back to their cabin. The Lounge Car is not available to seated sleeper customers, however we do offer a varied buffet service that can be enjoyed at your seat.

Separate male and female toilets are at the end of each coach, which are available upon boarding and throughout your trip.
We offer secure storage space within the Seated Sleeper coach and up to six cycles (three on services from Inverness) can be accommodated. We do require reservations for cycles, but they are available free of charge. We can’t however accommodate tandem bicycles.
Please note customers travelling to and from Fort William, who are carrying cycles or additional luggage in the guards van, are responsible for transferring their own cycles/additional luggage at Edinburgh.
