When can I travel?
  • Travel is valid on the date specified on your ticket only.
  • Caledonian Sleeper Seated Standard Single tickets are sold on a single (one way) journey basis.  If you require a return, simply purchase a single for both your outward and return travel seperately.
Which routes can I travel on?Tickets are available on any of the Caledonian Sleeper services running from and to London Euston from North West England and over 40 Scottish destinations.
Do I need to book in advance?

No.

Is the ticket subject to availability?

Yes.

  • Subject to availability of Seated accomodation.

Other Information

Do I need to make a reservation? Yes

  • A seat will be reserved for you at time of purchase.

Do Railcard discounts apply? Yes

  • 10% discount for all National Railcard holders.

Do child discounts apply? Yes

  • 50% discount for children aged 5 - 15.  Under 5's travel free.
  • Please note there is no separate seat allocation for children under 5.
  • Chilren under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I get a refund? Yes

  • Before the day of travel, a full refund is available on unused tickets, subject to a £10 administration fee.
  • On the day of travel, up to close of reservations, a 50% refund is available on unused tickets, subject to a £10 administration fee.

Can I make a change to my travel plans? Yes

  • Changes to travel plans can be made up to close of reservations on the day of travel, subject to a £10 administration fee.

Can I break my journey? No 

  • Break of journey is only permitted when there is a required coach change. 
  • Customers travelling between London Euston and Fort William are advised that they may be required to change coaches at Edinburgh (early morning/both directions)

Can I use the lounge car? No 

  • A buffet service is availble so you can enjoy hot and cold snacks at your seat.

Are animals permitted? No 

  • Dogs are not permitted in the Seated Sleeper Coach.
