A ramp under construction at Carnoustie Station will allow step-free access to the southbound platform from mid-January.
The ramp has been funded by a £60,000 investment via Transport Scotland’s Access for All Small Schemes scheme.
A similar facility already exists on the northbound platform for wheelchair users and other customers with restricted mobility.
Steve Montgomery, managing director of ScotRail, said: “We welcome Transport Scotland’s investment at Carnoustie station.”
The station has already received two new waiting shelters, a customer information system and a
ticket vending machine.
It has also been “adopted” by Carnoustie Community Council, whose members have restored a floral presence to the platforms.
