Up to two children aged between five and 15 can travel free with each adult who purchases a Kids Go Free ticket.

How can I buy my ticket?

  • ScotRail Telesales on 08457 55 00 33
  • From a Ticket Vending Machine at stations
  • At a staffed station
  • On-train when boarding at a station where no booking facilities are available.

When can I travel?

  • You can travel anytime at the weekend and on off-peak trains Monday to Friday.
  • Off-peak generally means after 9.15am (9.00am for journeys in Strathclyde) with some additional restrictions in the evening peak.
  • Outward and return travel must be made on the same day.
  • All members of the group must travel together on both the outward and return journey.
  • Restrictions may apply on other operators' services.  Please check before travelling.

Which routes can I travel on?

  • Available for Standard Class travel on all routes in Scotland. 
  • Available on all opertors' services.
