Here’s a message to our customers from Steve Montgomery, Managing Director of ScotRail.
We are focused on ensuring a smooth transition and the early delivery of enhancements for our passengers.
We will bring fresh ideas to operating ScotRail, giving a fresh start to Scotland’s national railway.
We have led the way in identifying and delivering rail industry performance improvements in other parts of the UK, and we will bring this experience and our engineering and operational strengths to First ScotRail and our customers.
We will work throughout the lifetime of the franchise to develop a fully integrated rail service in Scotland.
As Managing Director leading our franchise forward, I will listen to our customers and look forward to working with communities, transport stakeholders, other operators and staff. People are our business. Without well-trained, informed and motivated staff we will have no service to run. Without our customers, we cannot sustain the running costs of the business. Therefore delivery of a quality service is paramount and First recognises the value of both staff and customers in this.
We will consistently deliver a safer, more punctual and more reliable railway and we will continue to improve the quality of the service provided to passengers.
