Pick up a winter timetable

ScotRail is urging customers in the Strathclyde area to check their train times before its winter timetable is launched on 13 December.
More services are being introduced in and out of Glasgow Central which mean that there will be a number of changes to train times.
The extra services will result in new timetables for Glasgow-Barrhead, Cathcart Circle, East Kilbride, Neilston and Newton services in particular.
The new services include:
• A new hourly faster service between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Shotts more than doubling the services available.
• Two trains an hour in each direction between Glasgow and Kilmarnock compared with the present one an hour
• Earlier morning services from Ayr and Gourock to Glasgow, allowing better connections to London
Total journey times between Glasgow and Edinburgh will be cut by more than 30 minutes on the new faster service via Shotts.
The Glasgow-Kilmarnock enhancements will see some 68 trains a day calling at Kilmarnock, compared to 36 trains at present.
ScotRail advises all customers to pick up a copy of the winter timetable from manned stations to check if alterations to times apply to their services.
