PlusBus

Content

PlusBus provides you with a simple, easy-to-use add-on to your train ticket and gives unlimited bus travel on participating bus services in the town or city. Bus travel can be at the start, the finish, or both ends of your train journey.

Plusbus is available to many cities and towns across England, Scotland and Wales. More information can be obtained by calling 'traveline' on 0871 200 22 33 or visit www.plusbus.info

In Scotland, Plusbus participating stations are listed below. Click on each of the participating station for more information.

Plusbus schemes are operated in conjunction with some of Scotland’s leading bus operators, and tickets are both convenient and value for money. You can travel on any bus that paticipates under the scheme. It is hassel-free and saves time.

You can buy tickets at staffed ScotRail stations or by calling 08457 55 00 33, allowing 7 days for postage of tickets. You can buy tickets on-train if your journey starts at an unstaffed station, or at a station where booking office facilities are unavailable.

Young Person railcard entitles you to a third off the price on plusbus. Holders of Railcards should instead buy a rail ticket carrying the usual railcard discount but not the bus element.

Other joint rail and bus schemes are available within Strathclyde. Information is available at staffed rail stations within the Strathclyde area and from all SPT travel centres, or you can call Traveline on 0871 200 22 33.
