When can I travel?
  • You can travel anytime at the weekend and on off-peak trains Monday to Friday. 
  • Off-peak generally means after 9.15am (9.00am for journeys in Strathclyde) with some additional restrictions in the evening peak.  Please check before travelling.
  • Outward and return travel must be made on the same day.
Which routes can I travel on?
  • Available for Standard Class travel from any station in Scotland to and from the following destinations:
    • Dunoon (Cowal) via Gourock
    • Rothesay (Bute) via Weymss Bay
    • Briodick (Arran) via Ardrossan Harbour
  • Available on all opertors' services.
Do I need to book in advance?

No.

Is the ticket subject to availability?

Yes.

  • Subject to availability based on ferry capacity only.

  • Subject to a £10 administration fee for unused tickets surrendered before the date of outward travel.

  • You can change your travel plans before the outward journey subject to a £10 administration fee.
