How can I buy my ticket?

  • At a staffed station.
  • On-train when boarding at a station where no booking facilities are available

When can I travel?

  • Monday to Friday on trains departing after 9.15 am and on any service at the weekend.
  • Outward travel must be made on the date shown on the ticket.
  • Return journeys must be made within one month of the outward journey.

Which routes can I travel on?

  • Available for Standard Class travel from any station in Scotland to and from the following destinations:
    • Kirkwall (Orkney Isles) via Aberdeen
    • Kirkwall (Orkney Isles) via Thurso (Stagecoach bus service from Thurso to Scrabster)
    • Lerwick (Shetland Isles) via Aberdeen
    • Stromness (Orkney Isles) via Thurso (Stagecoach bus service from Thurso to Scrabster)
  • Available on all opertors' services.
