ScotRail's got summer licked

Tuesday 16 June 2009

Twins Andrew and James Ross enjoy an ice cream before a fun summer day out – starting on the train.

The five-year-olds are looking forward to getting out and about this summer, thanks to a sweet ticket offer from ScotRail.

Adults who buy a Kids Go Free ticket can take up to two children free of charge on ScotRail’s trains – seven days a week.*    Book in advance or on the day – the choice is yours.

With holidays at home becoming even more popular and families feeling the pinch, this is a perfect opportunity to take the kids on a summer adventure – without stretching the purse strings.

Gran and granddad can also get in on the act – and take a trip down memory lane – by taking grandchildren on a more traditional day out to the seaside.

Or – if the Scottish sun isn’t shining – ScotRail’s value for money ticket also gives free child entry to a number of Scotland’s top attractions. This includes the Edinburgh Dungeon, Glasgow Science Centre and Loch Lomond Aquarium.

Whatever route families choose, Kids Go Free – and a trip on the train – is part of the perfect day out.
