How can I buy my ticket?
  • Online from this link (Only monthly and above Season Tickets)
  • From a Ticket Vending Machine at stations (only Weekly Season Tickets)
  • At a staffed station
  • On-train when boarding at a station where no booking facilities are available (only Weekly Season Tickets)
When can I travel?
  • You can travel anytime within the period of validity of your Season Ticket between your chosen stations.
  • Season Tickets are available for a week, a month or any period over a month up to a year.
Which routes can I travel on?
  • Available on most routes.
  • Available on all operators' services.
Do I need to book in advance?

No.

Is the ticket subject to availability?

  • Subject to a £10 administration fee and a sufficient period of validity remaining on the ticket.

Can I make a change to my travel plans? Yes

  • You can change your travel plans as you have unlimited travel on your chosen route, but you cannot change the travel validity period.

Can I break my journey? Yes

  • You can break your journey at stations along the route of travel.

Do I need a photocard? Yes

  • You will need a photocard in order to use your Season Ticket. To get this, take a passport size photo to any ScotRail booking office or travel centre and you'll be issued with a photocard free of charge.
