Fares simplification - fares made easy from 7 September

The 7th of September sees the second phase of our fares simplification and outlined below are some of the key changes that you, as a First ScotRail customer, should be aware of when planning a trip.

In line with our changes in May this year, these changes are industry wide and will be introduced across the entire National Rail network.

So what will change?

The September alterations will see a number of our key products being re-named in line with a new range of industry definitions; these are outlined below in more detail.

The changes seek to standardise products  across the industry and will help customers have a clearer understanding of the product they are purchasing as well as it’s travel validity and any restrictions applicable.

The table below summarises the changes being made
