A new guide available at stations across Scotland aims to help rail travellers get the most out of their journey - door to door. The ScotRail Connections guide provides information for people wishing to connect to Scotland’s railway - by cycle, bus, ferry or air. It outlines how cyclists can store their bikes at stations, take them by train or even obtain discounts on bike hire by presenting a valid train ticket. It also shows how using PlusBus, RailBus, Rail & Sail or other combined ticket options can help make easy journeys to points beyond the rail network, including Scotland's airports. Advice is supplied on how much time should be allowed to change trains at stations, including between Glasgow's Queen Street and Central Stations. Caledonian Sleeper connections are also covered.
