Ticket Vending Machines - the easy way to buy your ticket!
Self-service ticket vending machines are now in place at many stations across the ScotRail network. These are very quick and easy to use, but here’s a quick reminder – why not try them out the next time you travel?
Please remember to remove your Debit/Credit card
- Select your destination. The opening screen offers a selection of the most popular tickets from the station concerned. To obtain other ticket types or other destinations touch the Any destination and Other Routes button then use the keyboard to spell out the name of the station you require. Select your destination station when it appears
- Select the ticket type (eg. single, return, season). Note: if a weekly season is selected, insert your photo ID card details (ID cards can be obtained from staffed ticket offices)
- Select from the options to continue:
- Select child if required
- Select railcard and touch the icon if any National Railcard is to be used
- Select other ticket types to return to the ticket menu
- Select More passengers if more than one ticket is required
- Select Confirm your selection button
- Insert cash or debit/credit card as payment
- Collect all tickets, change and receipt if requested
