Register for Club 50 today and we’ll send you your exclusive Club 50 membership card in September when you can start enjoying the full benefits of Club 50.

Once registered, we'll give you an exclusive link to book return travel on ScotRail services throughout Scotland for just £10*. You'll need to print your registration confirmation page or email to validate your ticket on the day of travel.

  • You may purchase tickets for up to 2 Club 50 members. Both passengers must be registered for Club 50.
  • You must present your printed Club 50 membership confirmation or email with your £10 promotional ticket to validate travel.
  • You may also be asked to prove your age.
  • Outward travel is valid until 30 September 2015 inclusive. Return travel must be completed by 29 October 2015.

Offer validity

  • Travel is valid on ScotRail services between any two stations in Scotland except Lockerbie.
  • Travel is valid anytime at the weekend.
  • Monday to Friday you can travel on all services except:
    • Those arriving into Glasgow Queen Street, Glasgow Central, Edinburgh Waverley, Haymarket, Dundee or Aberdeen before 0930.
    • Those departing Glasgow Queen Street, Glasgow Central, Edinburgh Waverley or Haymarket between 1643 and 1810.
    • The 1815 Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street and 1815 Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley services

Club 50 requires online sign up because membership is based on the issue of a Smartcard, and as a business we have committed to the Scottish Government that we will roll out smartcard ticket options as quickly as possible. Having a smartcard means that, in future, it will be possible to 'load' your Club 50 tickets onto your smartcard.

Our advice to those who wish to go ahead, but are unsure of how to proceed, is to ask for help from friends or relatives. Public libraries may also be able to assist in getting you online. Remember, you only have to do this once - once signed up, Club50 customers can continue to buy tickets at stations if they prefer.

Each Club 50 member must have their own, unique email address.

Many online products and services offering by private and public sector/government organisations require a customer to input a unique email address. In ScotRail's case this allows us to set up a membership for each individual and, crucially, to ensure your details are kept safe and secure. Email address are free and widely available from a range of providers including Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo amongst others.

The registration form allows Club 50 members to opt out of receiving /choose whether to receive marketing emails.

Unfortunately not. To allow us to offer the best deals and discounts and to keep your personal information secure, Club 50 requires online registration. We will soon be running registration roadshows in larger stations where we can help you to sign up, but you will still need your own email address to do so.

Yes, if your 50th birthday is before 30th September 2015, you can join Club 50 in the introductory period. However you cannot travel on the £10 introductory fare until you are 50. Proof of age may be requested.

No, this offer is only valid between stations in Scotland, on ScotRail services. Services from or to Carlisle, Newcastle and Berwick-upon-Tweed are not included in the offer as these stations are not in Scotland.

ScotRail do not operate any services to or from Lockerbie. The offer is only valid on ScotRail services.

If you set up your ScotRail account BEFORE April 1st 2015, then you will need to register again. Unfortunately, due to data protection, we were not able to migrate all of your personal information during the ScotRail franchise change this year.

The permanent discounts on offer for Club 50 members are not always as good as those offered by Railcards. However, membership does also provide you with exclusive access to regular rail offers (such as our £10 introductory offer) and deals through carefully selected partners.

As membership is free for the first year for those signing up before 31st August, we recommend that you try the club for the first year to see if it is of benefit to you.

We cannot resend the confirmation email, but suggest that you check your junk or spam folders. The sender name is “ScotRail website”.

However, you do not necessarily need the email to either book or travel. Simply revisit the original registration form and click on the button which says “login” – this will give you the same details as contained in the email plus the booking link.

We cannot change the email address once registered, however, you can just register again with the correct email address.
