Aberdeen Airport

By rail and road via Dyce station

Dyce, on the Aberdeen – Inverness line, is the local station closest to Aberdeen Airport, just a short taxi ride away. A taxi rank is available at Dyce station. Local taxis can also be contacted or pre-booked on 01224 77 55 55 (Airport); 01224 77 05 55 (Bucksburn); or 01224 72 40 40 (Comcab).

 

Aberdeen Airport

By rail and bus via Aberdeen station

A bus service links Aberdeen town centre and the airport. For further details contact FirstBus on 01224 650 065.

Inclusive through tickets are available from all ScotRail stations to Aberdeen Airport, including travel on Firstbus airport services. Ask when buying tickets.

 

Edinburgh Airport

Nearest rail stations - Edinburgh Waverley, Haymarket and Inverkeithing.

A connecting Airport bus service operates from Waverley Bridge, adjacent to Edinburgh Waverley station, stopping outside Haymarket station as well as from Inverkeithing situated opposite the northbound platform in the car park forecourt. From the Airport, the bus services leave from stance 18 - Edinburgh City Centre and stance 22 - Inverkeithing & The North on the terminal forecourt.

Glasgow Airport

By rail and bus link via Paisley Gilmour Street

Direct rail services run between Paisley Gilmour Street and Glasgow Central, Stranraer, Ayr, Largs, Gourock and Wemyss Bay. Buses for the Airport (approximately 2 miles away) leave from just outside Paisley Gilmour Street station.

Glasgow Central station also provides services to and from Kilmarnock, Carlisle, Newcastle, Paisley Canal, Motherwell, Carstairs, East Kilbride, Barrhead, Cathcart, Edinburgh via Shotts and overnight Caledonian Sleeper services to and from London Euston. Inclusive through tickets are available from all ScotRail stations to Glasgow Airport via Paisley Gilmour Street. Ask when buying rail tickets.

 

Glasgow Airport

By direct bus service to/from Glasgow

A regular Airport bus service (no 500) leaves from North Hanover Street outside Glasgow Queen Street station; and from St. Vincent Street , near Glasgow Central Station. Services from Glasgow Airport leave from outside the Terminal building.

Glasgow Queen Street: for rail services to and from Edinburgh, Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, the West Highlands, Helensburgh, Milngavie and Airdrie.

Glasgow Central: for rail services to and from Paisley, Ayr, Prestwick, Largs, Gourock, Wemyss Bay, Kilmarnock, Carlisle, Newcastle, Paisley Canal, Motherwell, Carstairs, East Kilbride, Barrhead, Cathcart, Edinburgh via Shotts and overnight Caledonian Sleeper services to and from London Euston.

 

Inverness Airport

Inverness Airport is served by local buses which depart from Inverness Bus station, approximately 5 minutes walk from the railway station

There are no inclusive tickets available - passengers should buy rail tickets to Inverness , then a separate ticket for the bus service. 

 

Prestwick International Airport

Prestwick Airport is approximately 35 miles from Glasgow City Centre, and has its own station, Prestwick International, linked to the Airport by a walkway. Prestwick International station is on the Glasgow Central - Ayr route.

Through fares are available between Prestwick International Airport station and all ScotRail stations. Free or discounted fares may be available when buying your rail tickets, depending on your flight destination.

Currently, passengers travelling to Krakow get free travel to and from Prestwick International Airport. To get your free travel tickets, produce the correct documentation (see below) at a ScotRail Booking Office, where you'll be issued with a travel voucher; on returning via Prestwick, pick up your travel voucher at the Customer Services desk before proceeding to the train. These free tickets are not available on train.

Passengers travelling between Prestwick Airport and all other destinations can get 50% off their ScotRail tickets by producing flight tickets either at ScotRail Booking Offices or from on-train staff on the day of travel. Bookings for these tickets are not available on line, from ScotRail Telesales or from Travel Agents.
