From Borders to Highlands

  • Carlisle via First bus through the Scottish Borders to Edinburgh and on by train to Glasgow.
  • Alternatively by train from Carlisle via Dumfries to Glasgow.
  • Glasgow via rail to Oban for onward Caledonian MacBrayne ferry to the Isle of Mull.
  • Explore the Isle of Mull via Bowmans scheduled buses.
  • Oban to Fort William by Scottish Citylink coach, then train to Mallaig and across to the Isle of Skye via Caledonian MacBrayne ferry.
  • Explore the Isle of Mull with Stagecoach in Inverness, returning via Scottish Citylink to Kyle of Lochalsh.
  • Take the train to Inverness.
  • Travel north by train to Wick and onward by Stagecoach in Inverness to John O’Groats.
