Changes to trains between Shettleston & Caldercruix - Sunday 8 October

Last updated: Thursday, 5 October 2017

The ScotRail Alliance is doing all it can to keep customers on the move during the upcoming improvement works on the Edinburgh to Helensburgh route on Sunday 8 October.

We will be putting on buses to allow customers to continue their journey while essential engineering work takes between Shettleston and Caldercruix. Train services between Edinburgh and Caldercruix, and Helensburgh and Shettleston will run as normal.

Rob Shorthouse, ScotRail Alliance communications director, said:

“We are working hard to build the best railway that Scotland has ever had. We know that any disruption to services can be a pain for customers, but all this work is essential to ensuring we can continue to deliver a first class service for our customers in Lanarkshire and West Lothian.

“Customers can find out more about these changes and what it means for their own journey by visiting the ScotRail website or by downloading our free app. Even although customers’ normal journey might be different while this work is going on, we will keep people moving.”

Notes

  • Buses replace all trains between Shettleston and Caldercruix on 8 October. Journey times will be increased, and timetables may be different from normal.
  • Passengers travelling to/from Caldercruix should change for rail replacement services at Blackridge
