Easter train times

Last updated: Friday, 29 March 2019

This Easter, our partners at Network Rail Scotland will be carrying out essential maintenance and improvement works on Scotland’s Railway.

As fewer people tend to travel over the Easter weekend, it's a good time to carry out this work, while disturbing as few journeys as possible.

Essential track and signalling maintenance works will be taking place between Rutherglen and Lanark across Easter weekend. Work will also continue on the Aberdeen to Inverness Improvement Project, with major works taking place between Dyce and Inverurie over all three days.

This means that we won’t be able to run trains along the full length of certain routes. Where this is the case, we’ll have buses in place to get you where you need to be. Your journey may take longer than usual, or take a diversionary route, so please plan your journey in advance. Click below to see which routes will be affected.
