More seats for Scotland v Cyprus at Hampden Park

Last updated: Tuesday, 4 June 2019

ScotRail will be adding more seats to services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida for Scotland’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Cyprus at Hampden Park on Saturday 8 June 2019.

Customers are advised that services will be busier than normal, and that queuing systems will be in place at Glasgow Central before the game, and at Mount Florida station afterwards.

To help fans arrive at the stadium on time for the 7.45pm kick-off, they should allow extra time for travel – as well as purchasing tickets in advance to avoid additional queuing on the day.

After the final whistle, supporters are encouraged to head back to Mount Florida as fast as possible and join the queues on Bolton Drive. Customers are asked to take this queuing system into account when planning journeys home from the match.

ScotRail will have extra staff on the ground to assist customers.

ScotRail Head of Customer Operations Phil Campbell said:

“This is a big match for Scotland, and we wish the team the best of luck.

“We’ll be adding more seats to help fans get to the game, but customers should plan their journeys in advance, and make sure they buy their tickets before they board.

“Trains heading towards Glasgow and Mount Florida will be busy, and the last trains of the night will be really busy, so please head back to the station as soon as you can after the final whistle.”
