ScotRail is launching a ‘Smart’ way to say thank you to its loyal customers with a new £1million reward fund.
All customers with a live ScotRail Smartcard season ticket on 21 March 2018 will be entitled to claim an equal share of a £1million reward fund.
The initiative is the final element of the Scottish Government’s £3million fares fund.
A Smartcard allows ticketless travel – meaning customers don’t have to buy paper tickets or wait in ticket queues when travelling. Full terms and conditions of the initiative are available at ScotRail.co.uk/million .
ScotRail has invested heavily in its online and station infrastructure to make the use of a Smartcard as easy as possible.
ScotRail Chief Operating Offer Angus Thom said:
“Our £1million fund is a smart way to say thank you to our loyal customers.
“We want as many people as possible to sign up to our Smartcard, so that they can be eligible for this fund and enjoy the benefits of ticketless travel.
“We’re building the best railway Scotland has ever had, and rewarding our loyal customers is an important part of that.”
