Head to the Royal Highland Show
Celebrating its 177th year, The Royal Highland Show is one of Scotland's most iconic events, showcasing the very best of farming food and rural life.
It takes place on the outskirts of Edinburgh on Thursday 22 until Sunday 25 June, and attracts visitors from all over the country.
You can get up close to the country's top quality livestock with 6,500 of the finest animals on show, taste exceptional food and drink, and experience rural living at its most vibrant.
With over 900 competitions taking place including, Livestock, Pole Climbing, the Scottish Ice Cream Championships, Handcrafts and Sheep Shearing, it’s a great day out for everyone.
Kids Go Free!
With our Kids Go Free ticket, two children aged up to 15 travel free by train with each fare paying adult. Plus, kids also get free entry to the event with a paying adult. It’s the perfect excuse for a family day out.
We provide train services from all over the country to Edinburgh stations, where dedicated bus services will shuttle customers to the event showground.
- Edinburgh Waverley: Lothian Buses service 98 runs from George Street East End - just a five minute walk from the station.
- Haymarket: Lothian Buses service 98 runs outside the station (stop HH).
- Edinburgh Park: Lothian Buses service 97 runs from the bus stop on the north side of the station.
- Edinburgh Gateway: Lothian Buses service 97 runs from the station concourse.
Please note - PLUSBUS tickets are not valid on Lothian Buses services 97 and 98.
