Scotland’s islands are full of mystery and wonder, and thanks to our Rail & Sail Travel Pass, exploring them has never been easier.

Last month we had top Instagrammer and photographer Kristy Ashton head off on a three-day trip over land and sea, using our Rail & Sail Travel Pass.

Departing from Perth and heading for Oban then Mull, Kristy’s mission was to capture some of Scotland’s most spectacular sights – one look at her fabulous Instagram account proves she managed to do just that and then some!

As part of her trip, Kristy watched the sun set from McCaig’s Tower in Oban after enjoying freshly caught fish and chips at the harbour.

Photography clearly runs in Australian Kristy’s family, as she discovered a photo at the Mull Museum which was taken by her great, great grandfather.

Not satisfied with just taking incredible images, Kristy documented her island adventure with a music video featuring some of ScotRail’s staff, stations and locals. Watch here – not to be missed!
