Playing Murcar Links is a truly memorable and rewarding experience where each hole offers its own challenge.

Murcar Links has undergone alterations over the years, which has stretched the layout to 6,516 yards. Originally designed by Archie Simpson and revised by James Braid, it sits on a classic stretch of links land with massive sand dunes and undulating fairways. It's covered in whins and heather with some magnificent views across the North Sea. There can be some wicked bounces off the crumpled fairways and there are gurns and the odd blind shot to contend with.

The signature hole is the 7th, a 423-yard par four, ominously called Serpentine. From a high tee, the drive is over a twisting burn with a ravine on the right, heavy rough on the left and towering dunes everywhere.
