Buses replace trains between Glasgow Central / Bridgeton and Motherwell / Shotts on Sunday 31 May

Engineering work is taking place between Rutherglen and Newton, closing all lines. A map showing further information can be found here.

Buses will replace trains between:

  • Bridgeton and Motherwell via Whifflet.
  • Bridgeton and Motherwell via Hamilton.
  • Glasgow Central and Motherwell.
  • Glasgow Central and Shotts.

Train services that usually run between Balloch / Milngavie and Motherwell (via Whifflet or via Hamilton) / Larkhall will be amended to run between Balloch / Milngavie and Rutherglen only.

Trains that usually run between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Shotts will be amended to run an hourly service between Carfin and Edinburgh only.

Services between Glasgow Central and Lanark will be diverted to run via Mount Florida, not calling at Cambuslang.
