Fort William is one of the major resorts of the Highlands. You will be amazed at the sheer beauty of its countryside, having a real sense of being somewhere different and out-of-doors.

The town is a great tourist destination, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. It is a major centre for hillwalking and climbing due to its proximity to the mighty Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. The downhill mountain bike track nearby the town is also a very popular attraction.

Fort William is very easy to get by train. There are daytime trains in each direction running between Glasgow Queen Street and Mallaig . There is also a daily early morning service to Mallaig that starts at Fort William, with a similar return service in the evening.
