ScotRail telesales - 08457 550033 (0700 - 2200)

You can book your tickets by phoning First ScotRail Telesales using most credit/debit cards. Please give 5 working days notice to ensure tickets can be posted out. If, however, your date of travel is less than 5 days away bookings can still be made using the Tickets on Departure facility.

Both outward and return reservations must be made at time of booking. Bookings will be accepted on the day of travel until:

Customers joining at Sleeper originating stations can pick tickets up from the station, either from the booking office or Ticket Vending Machine. The appropriate collection point will be advised during the transaction. Customers joining en route can collect their tickets from the on train Steward. In both cases tickets will only be handed over on presentation of the credit/debit card quoted at the time of booking.

Ticket availability and adjoining berths

During busy times, the number of berths available to holders of all discounted tickets may be restricted. So we advise customers to book early. Bookings are generally available up to 12 weeks in advance.

Cancellation of tickets and reservations

We cannot replace lost or stolen tickets. Many advance purchase tickets have little or no refund value. Please check at time of booking. As a general guide, if you find you are unable to use your tickets, you should return them immediately to the issuing office.

Sleeper reservations may be cancelled up to 4pm on the day before travel. A cancellation charge will be made which will vary depending when the reservations are actually cancelled.

No refund will be considered after time of Sleeper departure except in exceptional circumstances.

If you are travelling as part of a small group please note that we cannot guarantee that the berths booked will be adjoined if you book your journey online. If this is a key requirement for your trip then this should be booked either at station or via ScotRail Telesales where this level of guarantee can be provided.
