When can I travel?
  • On all train services to and from Ayr with a connecting coach link with the Stena ferry at Cairnryan.  The coach link is included in the ticket price.
  • Outward rail travel is valid on the date shown on the ticket only.
  • Ferry travel is vaild on the ferry crossing shown on your ticket only.
Which routes can I travel on?
  • Available for Standard Class travel from any station in Scotland to and from Belfast via Ayr and Cairnryan.
  • Available on all rail operators' services.
Do I need to book in advance?

No.

Is the ticket subject to availability?

Yes.

  • Rail & Sail Anytime Singles are subject to availability based on ferry capacity only.

  • Reservations are compulsory on Stena Ferry services.  A place will be booked on the ferry for you at time of purchase. 

Do Railcard discounts apply? Yes

  • Only Senior and 16 - 25 Railcard discounts apply.

Do child discounts apply? Yes

  • 50% discount for children aged 5-15. Children under 5 travel free.

Can I upgrade to First Class? No

Can I get a refund? Yes

  • Subject to a £10 administration fee on unused tickets surrendered up to 28 days after the expiry of the ticket.

Can I make a change to my travel plans? Yes

  • You can change your travel plans before the outward journey subject to a £10 administration fee.

Can I break my journey? Yes

  • You can break your journey at stations along the route of travel.
