Book online and collect Nectar points

Book online and collect Nectar points

Great news. You can collect Nectar points every time you buy your tickets online. It’s another great reason for travelling by train.

When you book online with us you’ll get 2 points for every £1 you spend. And, if you’re a season ticket holder you’ll get 2,500 points for an annual ticket, or 200 points for a monthly ticket.

From Wednesday 1 April 2015, Abellio will replace First as the operator of all ScotRail daytime services. In addition Serco will run all Caledonian Sleeper trains.

This means that from 1 April you will no longer be able to collect Nectar points when you book train tickets online at

You can still collect Nectar points for all online purchases at up until 31 March, including advance purchase tickets.

To collect Nectar points on train bookings after 1 April, you can book with any other First Group operator.

How it works

It couldn’t be any easier to start collecting Nectar points by linking your accounts. And, when you do, you’ll collect bonus points straight away. Sweet.

If you already have a Nectar card, simply add your Nectar card number to your ScotRail account info (in ‘My Account’).  Your card number will then be stored, so each time you buy a ticket, your Nectar points will automatically be added to your account.

If you are new to ScotRail, then you will need to register for an account first. If you don’t have a Nectar card, it’s really easy to get started. Just go here to register for yours today.
