Here you will find train times for our railway routes across Scotland.

We operate services from as far north as Thurso, all the way down to Carlisle just across the border in the north of England. To find train times for your route, please choose your area from the dropdowns below. You can then download the PDF train timetable and print if needed.

On Sunday, 2 June, a new timetable will be introduced, which represents our commitment to making Scotland’s Railway more accessible, sustainable, and efficient. 

We’ll be introducing more than 100 additional services each day and thousands of extra seats.

Significant changes include the opening of new stations at Leven and Cameron Bridge, resulting in improved journey times in the Fife area. Plus, additional services and improved connections in Inverclyde following public consultation.

Here are the key alterations:

  • New stations at Leven and Cameron Bridge, with an hourly service to Edinburgh via Kirkcaldy.
  • Journey times will improve from North Fife to Edinburgh.
  • Number of seats provided between the Kingdom and Edinburgh increase from just under 16,000 in each direction each day, to more than 19,000.
  • New timetable structure, with 30 extra services every weekday.
  • A more frequent service between Glasgow and Wemyss Bay.
  • Better connections between rail and ferry at Gourock.

Glasgow to Neilston, Newton, and Cathcart Circle evening services will increase in frequency from hourly to half hourly. 

Glasgow to Alloa evening services will increase in frequency from hourly to half hourly. 

1050 Inverness to Edinburgh and 1033 Edinburgh to Inverness strengthened from three to five carriages on Saturdays, to match what operates Monday to Friday.

  • New 0805 Prestonpans to Waverley to increase morning peak capacity for commuters in East Lothian.   
  • More weekend North Berwick services strengthened from four to six carriages.
