Break a Leg!

This story is about Alex. He loves listening to The Smiths, journalling and eating crisp sandwiches! He does not love when people speak at him in idioms… ‘Break a Leg’, ‘Pull your Socks Up’, ‘A Wee Birdie Told Me’. What does that even mean?! Join Alex, along with his friends & frenemies as he navigates Neurodiversity, high school, and his identity, whilst discovering that being different is actually really cool!

Based on the graphic novel created by The Village Young Storytellers and illustrated by Jillian Mendoza, this performance fuses storytelling, movement, visual art and was created by young people, for young people.

Directed by Colin White & Miriam Doren. Designed by Jillian Mendoza. Suitable for ages 8+.
