East Neuk Festival Opus 13 - II

This year’s festival programme has many performers playing the music of their homelands. Here, Opus 13 perform both of Grieg’s quartets, and as Grieg counted Schubert among ‘the noblest natures’ in music, we had no hesitation in pairing his short second quartet with Schubert’s tumultuous Death and the Maiden.
