Singing up a Storm - songs of spirit and the sea

Led by musical director Kate Howard, SongWave is a Castle Douglas based community choir which is known for its joyous renditions of a varied repertoire of songs which in this concert will range from Dalmatian love songs, sung on the shores of the Adriatic coast to the Unst Boat song, Scotland's oldest known song depicting the coming storm from Shetland. From the joy of the Swimming Song to Sankey and Moody’s nod to our heroes and heroines of the sea, the RNLI (who we celebrate in their 200th year). There will be an outgoing collection for the RNLI.

Refreshments will be served in the interval
