Let creativity cast a spell on your writing. Join us for Spellbound a Poetry Workshop led by Stirling Makar Laura Fyfe. Bring an old poem to rework or let your imagination run wild. We’ll be getting creative with our writing, and for those who would like to, sharing some of our poems aloud.
Laura Fyfe is a poet, novelist and a prominent voice in Scotland’s writing community. She supports other writers by mentoring and by facilitating writing workshops and communities across Scotland and online. Her work has been published in Butcher’s Dog, Postbox and was shortlisted for the 2022 Bridport Prize. Her pamphlet The Truth Lies is available from Red Squirrel Press.
We will be joined at the workshop by guest poet Madhu Raghavendra who is the current Charles Wallace Fellow at Stirling University.
MADHU RAGHAVENDRA (poet, curator, social activist; India) has authored three books of poetry Make Me Some Love To Eat, Stick No Bills, and Being Non-essential published by Red River, New Delhi. He uses poetry as a tool to advocate human and environmental rights and collaborates with global artists to create multidisciplinary poetry experiences.
