This exotic splash of wilderness is a Himalayan-style glen, set in the gentle hills of Argyll.
The sparkling waters of the Crarae Burn form the centrepiece for a woody paradise of rocky gorges, wooden bridges and thickets of maple, birch and evergreens, blending with sprays of flowers.

Crarae Garden was created in 1912 by Lady Grace Campbell, the aunt of intrepid plant hunter Reginald Farrer, who sourced trees and shrubs from China, Nepal and Tibet.

The garden hosts an amazingly varied collection of trees, some champions of their species, and a National Collection of southern beech.

*Take a 10 minute walk to Buchannan Bus Station (Stance 55) from Glasgow Queen Street and take a 926 bus (Campbeltown) which will take 2 hours to Gardens Road End. From here its a 2 minute walk to Crarae Garden.*

  1. Only two persons allowed per voucher, unless offer states otherwise. Please print out as many of the vouchers that you require for your party size.
  2. You must produce your two National Rail train tickets as evidence of travelling by train to the attraction destination - most train tickets display the  symbol. National Rail issued tickets include Off-Peak, Super Off-Peak, Advance, Anytime and Season Tickets.
  3. If you are travelling on Advance tickets or similar, please ask to keep both inbound and return legs of the tickets, when arriving at your destination station. In cases where electronic ticket barriers are in operation, you should approach a member of the train company staffs who can arrange for you to retain your tickets as proof of travelling by train.
  4. For email and mobile train tickets please present your phone or supporting printed travel ticket. You may also be asked to produce photo ID. A printed 2FOR1 voucher is still required if you are showing a digital train ticket.

  6. Amended or defaced vouchers will not be accepted.
