ScotRail has announced more apprenticeship opportunities in the Highlands, as it looks to encourage more young people to consider an early careers’ pathway.

New apprenticeships have been created to provide valuable employment and training for young people, with positions available in sectors ranging from engineering and administration to customer service.

Current vacancies include an opportunity to train in engineering for ScotRail at the depot in Inverness, with the closing date of Saturday, 6 April.

The new recruits will join the company alongside existing apprentices in the Highlands working in hospitality and engineering, all of whom are currently on their way towards a full-time career at ScotRail.

Apprenticeships can last up to five years with ScotRail, many of which include time to attend college or university.
