Weekly Season Tickets

A Weekly Season Ticket brings great savings and benefits

Do you travel on the same train route regularly? With a Weekly Season Ticket, you can enjoy seven days of unlimited travel between the two stations on your route.

You could save yourself over 20% off the cost of five standard day return tickets. Better still, you can use your Season Ticket at any time of the day, including weekends, with no restrictions.

It’s convenient and flexible, eliminating the need to buy a ticket each time you travel. Say goodbye to queues! You can even break up your journey by travelling to intermediate stations along your route.

What’s more, you can add a ‘Kid for a Quid’ when a child travels with you.

Buying and renewing your Weekly Train Ticket

You can buy and renew your weekly train ticket online, with the ScotRail app, via a ticket vending machine, or at a ticket office. If you have one of our free Smartcards, you can simply load your ticket to it every time you buy one. You will need to supply a photo, which can be taken with your smartphone, should you wish to obtain a new Smartcard.

Paper Season Tickets require a photocard, which is free from ScotRail booking offices and travel centres, and a passport-sized photo.

You can buy your new Weekly Season Ticket in advance or on your first day of travel. Online purchases must be made at least four hours before you travel.

Lost your Weekly Season Ticket?

If your Season Ticket is on a Smartcard and you lose your card, your ticket will be cancelled and securely transferred onto a new one.
