Super Off-Peak Day Return tickets are available on more than 300 journeys across Scotland so it’s always worth checking your journey on Journey Planner or the ScotRail App before you travel to see if one of these super tickets could save you money.

When can you use a Super Off-Peak Day Return ticket?

For the majority of journeys, you can travel outbound and return anytime after 11:00, Monday to Friday with your Super Off-Peak Day Return ticket.

If Edinburgh Waverley, Haymarket, Glasgow Central, Glasgow Queen Street, Aberdeen or Inverness is the start point of your journey in either direction, you can only use a Super Off-Peak Day Return ticket on services starting between 11:00 and 14:59, and after 20:00, Monday to Friday.

A Super Off-Peak Day Return ticket is a great way to save on your train fare if you fancy heading into town for an evening out!

How to get your Super Off-Peak Day Return ticket

Super Off-Peak Day Return tickets are only available on Smartcard or as an mTicket on your mobile device. They’re not available as paper tickets. Find out more about mTickets here .

	Restricted travel times For most journeys, Super Off-Peak Day Return tickets are valid for travel anytime after 11:00, Monday to Friday. If Edinburgh Waverley, Haymarket, Glasgow Central, Glasgow Queen Street, Aberdeen or Inverness is the start point of your journey in either direction, you can only travel between 11:00 and 14:59, and after 20:00, Monday to Friday.
	Refundable Super Off-Peak Day Return tickets are eligible for refunds if you decide not to travel, however a £10 administration fee will be applied. You can cancel and refund your ticket by logging into your online account. For more information, read the “Trainline Conditions of Sale” on our Terms and Conditions page .
	Reservable seating Reservable seating is available on some longer journeys when purchasing one of our Super Off-Peak Day Return tickets. However, please note, seat reservations are not available on the majority of ScotRail services. Click here to find out more about seat reservations.
	Non-transferable Our Super Off-Peak Day Return tickets are non-transferable, meaning if you decide you can no longer use it, you cannot offer it to someone else.
	Purchase protection Your Super Off-Peak Day Return ticket is protected by our Delay Repay guarantee, meaning you can claim compensation if your journey is delayed by 30 minutes or more. Read our full Delay Repay guarantee and relevant terms & conditions for more information.

• Buy any time before travel
• Discounts when you use your railcard

• Use Journey Planner or the ScotRail app to see if there’s a Super Off-Peak ticket available for your chosen route
