Here's a list of our top pick of events taking place across Scotland this September.

Chicago - King’s Theatre, Glasgow

The ‘merry murderesses’ are ready to razzle dazzle audiences once again as the award-winning Broadway musical returns to stages this month. Set amidst the decadence of the Roaring Twenties, Chicago follows the story of housewife and nightclub dancer Roxie Hart, whose rise to fame begins when she murders her lover and hires a slick criminal lawyer to keep her out of prison. Featuring beloved hits like ‘Cell Block Tango’ and ‘All That Jazz’, the cast stars the likes of Faye Brookes as Roxie Hart, Darren Day as Billy Flynn, Divine de Campo as Mary Sunshine and Djalenga Scott as Velma Kelly.

The National Whisky Festival - Music Hall, Aberdeen

Raise a dram to the water of life at this wide-ranging whisky exhibition, with over 200 different whiskies to sample from across the country. With something for both seasoned drinkers and those new to whisky, there will also be a dynamic programme of live music, mixology demonstrations, local food vendors and more. Slainte!

National Whisky Festival 2021

Wings Around Dundee - Dundee Rep Theatre

Dundee Rep Ensemble presents a whirlwind adventure through the hidden past and empty streets of Dundee for their first production in the re-opened Rep Theatre. Written by two-time Fringe First winner John McCann, directed by Finn den Hertog and with music by Andrew Wasylyk, Wings Around Dundee is a journey of magical realism through a city frozen in time, centred around a small family struggling to cope.

Wings Around Dundee

Ricky Gervais: SuperNature - SEC Glasgow

The iconic comic heads out on his sixth major stand-up comedy tour across the UK. Best known for his time helming multiple hit television shows, such as The Office and more recently the Netflix dramedy After Life, Gervais swaps the screen for the stage to crack jokes about social taboos and the natural world.

Ricky Gervais: SuperNature

Manic Street Preachers - Usher Hall, Edinburgh

The anthemic Welsh rockers head out on tour to celebrate the release of their 14th studio album The Ultra Vivid Lament, alongside classics from their extensive back catalogue. Formed in 1986, Manic Street Preachers have amassed three UK no. 1 hits throughout their long and acclaimed career with the likes of ‘This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours’, ‘If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next’ and ‘The Masses Against The Classes’.
