Rachel Watson is a recently divorced alcoholic woman who learns that a woman she's been watching from her commute every morning has mysteriously disappeared. This adaptation of Paula Hawkins' bestselling novel stars Samantha Womack, one of the UK's best-loved actors.

Ghost the MusicalGhost the Musical - King’s Theatre, Glasgow

When Sam and Molly are walking back to their apartment one night, Sam is murdered and Molly is left alone and grieving. But fate has other plans. This adaptation of the much-loved 1990 Patrick Swayze / Demi Moore movie features songs by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart as well as, of course, the classic ‘Unchained Melody’.

Dundee Women's FestivalDundee Women's Festival - Various venues, Dundee

The Dundee Women's Festival features two weeks of talks, discussions, film screening, workshops, walks and days out, all inspired by International Women's Day. There's a conference on the fight for women's suffrage, a public discussion about pension rights for women aged 50+, a line dancing class, swimming pool sessions and much more.

Aberdeen Jazz FestivalAberdeen Jazz Festival – Various venues, Aberdeen

The Aberdeen Jazz Festival hosts a wide variety of international stars of jazz and blues in various venues throughout the Granite City. This year’s festival features tributes to Ray Charles, David Foster Wallace and Miles Davis’ classic album Birth of the Cool, and performances from Nubiyan Twist, the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and Camilla George, among others.

KT TunstallKT Tunstall - Barrowland, Glasgow

After taking two years off from music, the Scottish singer-songwriter is back with a bunch of new riffs and attitude to spare. Hear songs from her 2016 album KIN, as well as old favourites such as 'Black Horse and the Cherry Tree' and 'Suddenly I See'.

Local HeroLocal Hero – Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh

Editorial description: American oil executive Mac Macintyre arrives in a Scottish village with the intention of buying it to build an oil refinery. This co-production by the Lyceum and the Old Vic is a musical version of Bill Forsyth’s movie, with a book by Forsyth and acclaimed playwright David Greig and new songs by Mark Knopfler.
