Top events across Scotland this August

August is an exciting month in Scotland with the Edinburgh Festivals taking over the Capital. However, Edinburgh is not the only place to be.

If you're looking to escape the Capital, don't fret - there's plenty on across the country to get you out and about.

Remember, when planning an evening out, get the train in.

GreaseGrease - King's Theatre, Glasgow

The much-loved tale of Danny and Sandy, and how their summer romance is rekindled when they both find themselves in senior year at Rydell High. This acclaimed production originated in Leicester Curve and is directed by its artistic director, Nikolai Foster.

Prokofiev’s fairy tale and a host of other stories are brought to life by the Essential Orchestra and narrated by Scottish actor Ryan Ferrie. There’s a chance to meet the musicians afterwards and try out their instruments for yourself. Recommended kids age is 4—12 years.
