Top events across Scotland this August
August is an exciting month in Scotland with the Edinburgh Festivals taking over the Capital. However, Edinburgh is not the only place to be.
If you're looking to escape the Capital, don't fret - there's plenty on across the country to get you out and about.

Grease - King's Theatre, Glasgow
The much-loved tale of Danny and Sandy, and how their summer romance is rekindled when they both find themselves in senior year at Rydell High. This acclaimed production originated in Leicester Curve and is directed by its artistic director, Nikolai Foster.

Children's Classic Concerts: Peter and the Wolf and other stories - Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
Prokofiev’s fairy tale and a host of other stories are brought to life by the Essential Orchestra and narrated by Scottish actor Ryan Ferrie. There’s a chance to meet the musicians afterwards and try out their instruments for yourself. Recommended kids age is 4—12 years.

Mars Odyssey - Dundee Science Centre

Alba Real Ale Festival - Royal Tay Yacht Club
A beer festival with over 40 real ales, ciders and lagers from microbreweries all over Scotland, and live music from local performers.

Sruighlea Stirling Summer Festival - Various venues, Stirling
Sruighlea is the Gaelic name for Stirling, and this festival offers a wide range of ways to relax on a Saturday in summer. There’s food and drink, highland games, circus performances and loads of live music, headlined by Dougie MacLean at 21:00.

Frankie Boyle: Full Power - His Majesty's Theatre, Aberdeen
