A trainsformation is fast approaching
Our new and improved timetable is almost here, and with it comes a number of exciting changes across our network.
From Sunday 19 May, more of you will be able to enjoy the Class 385 experience on more trains across Central Scotland. This means thousands of extra weekday seats, and more energy-efficient electric trains for a huge number of ScotRail passengers each and every day. Some services will also benefit from faster journey times, including:
42 minutes between Edinburgh and Glasgow via Falkirk High
32 minutes between Stirling and Glasgow
44 minutes between Stirling and Edinburgh
45 minutes between Alloa and Glasgow
These new electric trains will help us to build the best railway that Scotland has ever seen. They form part of a £475 million investment programme from ScotRail and major investment from the Scottish Government and Network Rail that has seen the electrification of the main line between Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Time is the essence
