Teeming with history and surrounded by mountains, Brodick is every inch the quintessential island castle. The present building was fashioned in 1844, but the seat dates back centuries to when its strategic position overlooking the Firth of Clyde made Brodick a fortress to be reckoned with. The castle was the ancient seat of the Dukes of Hamilton and contains a fabulous collection of valuable artefacts.

Indoors, dark wood, heavy Victorian colours and sporting trophies hark back to an age of aristocratic leisure and luxury. After two years of extensive works, the castle has reopened with an exciting new visitor experience, focusing on the fascinating stories of the people who lived here, and with interactive activities to bring the building to life.
Outdoors you’ll find our fantastic Isle Be Wild adventure play park as well as our new Silver Garden. The formal gardens, woodland, waterfalls, bathing pools and bold rhododendrons conjure up an island charm that will beguile children and adults alike.

*From Ardrossan Harbour station, take ferry across to the Isle of Arran, you can then get Bus number 324 (Blackwaterfoot) to Brodick Castle entrance and the castle is a 10 minute walk.*

  1. Only two persons allowed per voucher, unless offer states otherwise. Please print out as many of the vouchers that you require for your party size.
  2. You must produce your two National Rail train tickets as evidence of travelling by train to the attraction destination - most train tickets display the  symbol. National Rail issued tickets include Off-Peak, Super Off-Peak, Advance, Anytime and Season Tickets.
  3. If you are travelling on Advance tickets or similar, please ask to keep both inbound and return legs of the tickets, when arriving at your destination station. In cases where electronic ticket barriers are in operation, you should approach a member of the train company staffs who can arrange for you to retain your tickets as proof of travelling by train.
  4. For email and mobile train tickets please present your phone or supporting printed travel ticket. You may also be asked to produce photo ID. A printed 2FOR1 voucher is still required if you are showing a digital train ticket.
