The Emerald Dawn + Long Earth @ Ivory Blacks

With music that is as epic and as beautiful as it is possible to get (Scream Magazine), THE EMERALD DAWN debut at Ivory Blacks after headlining at Prog the Forest in London, performing at Fusion Festival in Stourport, performing at HRH Prog in Great Yarmouth, performing at A Sunday in September in London, and shortly before headlining at Soundle Festival.

The Emerald Dawn are a multi-instrumentalist, symphonic progressive rock quartet, who combine elements from classical music, jazz and rock to produce their own original, distinctive and exciting sounda sound that is cinematic, experimental and powerful. Usually haunting, often stunningly melodic and always highly atmospheric, the music of The Emerald Dawn paints images or tells stories that stimulate the imagination and takes the listener on unforgettable musical journeys. The band came third in Prog Magazine's Readers' Poll for the Best Unsigned Band of 2022. Tony Colvill of The Progressive Aspect chose The Emerald Dawn's 2021 album, To Touch the Sky, as his album of the year, as did Jim Lawson of Progzilla Radio. Also in 2021 The Prog Mind ranked their bass player tenth in the world, and in 2017 ranked their keyboard player seventh and their guitarist sixth in the world.

The band comprises Tree Stewart (keyboards, flute, acoustic guitar and vocals), Ally Carter (guitar, saxophones, keyboards, and vocals), David Greenway (fretless and fretted bass guitars) and Tom Jackson (drums). The Emerald Dawn will be performing compositions from their four studio albums, and hope to provide a glimpse of their forthcoming new album 'In Time'.

Often gorgeous and sometimes transcendent...potent pastoral-tinged prog flows from the stage. Gary Mackenzie, Prog Magazine

LONG EARTH is a progressive rock band based in Glasgow, UK. Formed in 2016, the lineup has links to long established proggers Abel Ganz, at one point involving 4 former members.

In 2017, Long Earth released their debut album The Source, which received warm praise from critics and prog fans alike, and saw them established on the Scottish live scene, gigging alongside bands such as Abel Ganz, Crystal Palace and Alan Reed, who also featured on The Source as a guest narrator.

Following the introduction of former Abel Ganz vocalist Martin Haggarty in 2018, the band wrote and subsequently released their second album Once Around the Sun in March 2020 to universally strong reviews from DJs, journalists and bloggers, and featured heavily among many "best of 2020" lists. More gigs alongside Wobbler, Abel Ganz, Crystal Palace, Stuckfish and others followed before being cruelly interrupted by the Covid pandemic, before regrouping for a gig with Franck Carducci & the Fantastic Squad in March 2022. Meanwhile, work continues on the writing of album 3.
