The author, Gelong Thubten, ordained as a Buddhist monk at the Samye Ling monastery near Langholm after leading a wild life in New York. Having trained for thirty years, he wrote his first book, A Monk’s Guide to Happiness, and it helped many to discover meditation and how it can alleviate the stresses and strains of life. In his new book, Gelong believes that hard times present an opportunity to discover our inner strength.
