Buddhist monk Gelong Thubten is regarded as one of the UK’s most influential meditation teachers, working with many different organisations, including the United Nations. In this short, guided meditation session, he explains the benefits of meditation and how to practise it. There will be helpful advice on how to deal with a distracted mind during meditation and how to establish a habit of daily practice, as well as how to bring moments of mindfulness into a busy day. There will also be time for questions and answers. Thubten is the author of the Sunday Times bestseller A Monk’s Guide to Happiness, and he will join us to discuss his latest book Handbook for Hard Times: A Monk’s Guide to Fearless Living in a separate event. Check the programme for more details.
