How do I register for a ScotRail Smartcard?

To get started, you’ll need a My ScotRail account.

Log in or create a new My ScotRail account
Once you’ve logged in, click on the ‘Order Smartcard’ button and follow the instructions for a photo Smartcard. It only takes a few minutes, and you’ll have your free Smartcard in five working days

You must be 16 or over to apply online.

Apply for your Smartcard as soon as possible to ensure you receive it in time to participate in the promotion. We recommend you order your Smartcard by 12 March.
