Our journey to a cure with MND Scotland.
MND Scotland were announced as ScotRail’s charity partner in 2017 and since then, together with Network Rail Scotland, over £280,000 of support has been provided to the charity through staff fundraising, customer donations, and gifts-in kind.
Through promotion of the fantastic work that MND Scotland do; by providing the charity with a visible presence in our stations through billboards and posters; branding our trains with the MND cornflower; and by proudly naming one of our iconic Inter7City high speed trains in honour of MND campaigner, Gordon Aikman BEM, we’ve helped to ensure that everyone in Scotland knows the life-changing impact MND has and what we can all do to make a difference.
Although our charity partnership with MND Scotland came to an end in March 2022, the journey to a cure continues. Find out more on their website here .
Who decides our charity partner?
The charity partnership enables a selected national charity to benefit from employee fundraising and volunteering. Local communities are also engaged in the charitable aims of our nominated charity, to raise awareness and influence change. The selection process is guided by our people; therefore, we do not accept unsolicited applications from charities.
